That's an amazingly thin house. And carved from a single piece of aluminum reportedly.

Ah... now what do I do?
I feel trapped in this one thread, such that if i stray but a step outside of it, then the whole world will devour me with news of Apple's new wonderproduct, (which i bet will be an anti-climax after all of this.)
*sigh*
I'm still in the dark over here.

ok, now i can go back to best buy. they aren't evil anymore and the sales people are the most knowledgeable i've seen

Best Buy knows who D:apple:ddy is... They know who's keeping that company afloat and relevant in todays chaotic economy.
They wouldn't do anything to jeopardize a business relationship they NEED.
Again they know who D:apple:ddy is.
Yeah because before Apple came to Best Buy, Best Buy was in a lot of trouble.
Give me a break dude.

In fairness to Google, no one said that they were out to destroy iTunes or anything like that. They've got a growing mobile business, and it makes sense that they want to make some cohesive media store.
Likewise, Apple is trying to grow its online/cloud services (Google's strength)! Funny, they are kind of moving towards each other in that sense...
What does a music store have anything to do with a mobile business.
No one before Apple had a music store that goes along with a mobile business.
It makes sense now because Apple did it.

The Australian store is claiming that the store is busy or to check my connection
Ditto for the UK iTunes Store

I realize this is a rumor site, but posting conflicting rumors in the same day is getting obnoxious. Is there ANY fact checking at all?

It's excellent not only in 3D but as a game in general. Levels are just about as varied and as long as they need to be that it never feels like a chore.
3D truly adds to the immersion. You enable it in the options menu (stereoscopic support).

I don't give a damn. If I pay for a chunk of data, it isn't up to the provider to dictate how I use my data. If I want to syphon fuel out of my vehicle for use in another, that is my decision not Exxon's.
Wrong.
So much emotional reasoning that leave out facts.
Your data is meant for use by your iphone. Your T&C prohibits tethering. So you cannot use your data for tethering in ANY form.
Those that use the analogy of their home internet connection not restricting use...well...that's just it... your T&C there does not restrict devices and use. Not the same thing. As for you gas analogy, again not the same thing. You have no contract with Exxon on how you use your gas. If Exxon made a contract with you to use the gas only in the car that purchased it..it would be the same. You could then decide to buy it or find another source (carrier).
To sum it up. You are tethering only by virtue of the fact that you have jailbroken your phone...and you want the carriers to agree that this is a normal usage of the phone and therefore that tethering is ok?
Are you serious?
You are free to do what you want but dont fault the carrier when then finally catch up to you and force you to stop or pay.
There is just no other way to view this...

I really *like* the fact that the OS X and iOS groups seem to be talking to each other and sharing ideas with each other, rather than being in squabbling little camps that snipe at each other like you see at Microsoft.
Me too. The trouble I see here is that every time OS X adopts some interface concept or anything else from iOS there is this ridiculous frenzy that goes like this: "OH NOES!!!!!!111111one APPLE IS GONNA LOCK DOWN APPS!"
Which, they COULD do but I just don't think they're that stupid. (If they do it's back to Linux for me.)

That's 7pm here in the UK... Just when I get home from work! :)
Are any sites offering live feeds, etc?

Probably, but as I am in the Marketing and Advertising business I will find this quite useful. Many of you are so quick to dismiss the usefulness of this App simply because you don't understand its true purpose.
"doesn't apply to me so it's useless" mentality. guess the world revolves around them :p

Personally, I would be surprised if they didn't eventually use AMD CPU's.
1. Digg had an article on AMD's line of upcoming CPU's which are CPU's and GPU's on one die. Given Apple's history of pushing more and more onto the video cards, this new line seems perfect for Apple.
Link: http://www.hardocp.com/news.html?news=MjI0OTUsLCxobmV3cywsLDE=
P.S. Just went to digg to get the link, and AMD is moving to 65nm in 2007. faster, less heat.
Link: http://hardocp.com/news.html?news=MjI0OTcsLCxobmV3cywsLDE=
2. AMD is far superior. Right now Intel is in the lead, but it's not a true lead. For the longest time, AMD had the better architecture. Intel had to do something, so they went back to the P3, tweaked it a little, and added some huge caches, and gave us a CPU modeled after a 6 year old (guessing here) CPU that ran at around the same GHZ speeds, but was faster.
3. Diversification. Whether because Apple doesn't want to be stuck with just one supplier, or because they want to further diversify their line, it makes sense.
4. Competition. Suddenly Intel is forced to compete against AMD, which would mean cheeper prices and more innovation (CPU wise)
I personally wouldn't mind a MacBook Mini:
AMD Fusion CPU/GPU combo
DVD burner, ram, isight, bla bla bla.

My only question is:
If there was a study that was conducted some time back [more than 2 months back] and got Apple to investigate the issue seriously, why did Apple wait for another study OR another media non-sense to acknowledge the bugs and report to the consumers?
Why did Apple not rectify the problem before? Did Apple already knew about these features or are they simply getting with this crap by calling them "bugs"?
To be honest, this is probably the first time I'm feeling that Apple was trying to play with the consumers privacy and trust. I think Apple just fooled us.

Has this preliminary list been published somewhere, or is this secret inside information?
I have it... just posted it above... there will be "red" signs everywhere in the retail stores tomorrow and specialists will be wearing red shirts...
btw, MBP's are not on sale since it's not on the list... just MB's (from $1099 down to $998, etc.... up to $1499 which goes down to $1398)
iMac's are on sale too.... see the posting above... I'm wondering about the Mini since it's not on that "Joy to the Wallet" sale list.

Makes them a little more attractive to the penny concious buyer.
More importantly, cutting price of the current design signals the arrival of a new design in the not-too-distant-future.

Preferred the iOS style scroll bars. Having the thin bar inside the right side gutter looks very odd.
I agree Somehow I don't think it'll look like that in the final version, as the gutter appearance is clearly designed for the older aqua scrollbar.
